March Madness is here, and six Western Reserve Academy alumni are stepping onto the national stage, including three who will go head-to-head tomorrow at Cleveland's Rocket Arena. Braden Appelhans ’22 (University of New Mexico), Royce Parham ’24, and Damarius Owens ’24 (both from Marquette University) will compete in tomorrow’s NCAA tournament matchup, but they aren’t the only WRA grads in the bracket! Eemeli Yalaho ’23 (Texas Tech University), Jana “Tika” Sallman ’23 (College of William & Mary) and Markus Ilver ’21 (University of Wisconsin) are also competing in the tournament, representing WRA on the national stage.
As these Pioneers compete on college basketball’s biggest stage, we’ll be cheering for all three of them — proud of their hard work, dedication and the journey that brought them here. Best of luck to Braden, Royce, Damarius, Eemeli, Tika and Markus! Tune in to cheer them on as they represent their teams — and the WRA community — on the road to the championship! We’re incredibly proud to cheer on all six of these incredible athletes as they take on March Madness. GO PIOS!
