Growing up has its challenges, and our students' health is always top of mind. So it's a given that we house a 24/7 Health Center, led by Medical Director Dr. Vishvas Hegde, Director of School Health Services Cindy Carter and a small fleet of nurses, ready to handle any health concern.
WRA's Health Services team promotes proactive strategies that contribute to campus safety and optimal wellness. Our emphasis is on the prevention of, or the early intervention for, real and potential health concerns, as well as the creation of an environment that supports students in achieving academic and long-term personal success.
Preventive health services include the solicitation and processing of student health information. We also use screening data to extend our effectiveness in identifying students who may need additional support services.
Primary health services are provided in the WRA Health Center, where 24-hour (clinical and after hours on-call) nursing, counseling and physician coverage is provided seven days a week during the academic year. Nurses, counselors and the school physician are available for scheduled or walk-in visits 12 hours a day weekdays, as well as Saturday mornings. Urgent or emergency services are also available after hours via the after-hours on-call nurse.
