WRA Social Science Department faculty member Dr. Erik Chaput is a frequent contributor to The Providence Journal, and his latest column (co-written with his fellow historian-in-residence Russell J. Plainly titled “RI Teachers in unique position to use new AP course in classroom,” the article addresses this very topic — the many opportunities for educators in the Ocean State to use their local resources as they prepare to introduce the new Advanced Placement African American Studies into their classrooms.
