There are so many advantages to spending your high school years at Western Reserve Academy — and a pretty big one is our location. If we were lucky enough to have David Attenborough read a script about the Pioneer habitat, we imagine it would go a little something like this —
PLANET HUDSON [Scene: A bustling Hudson with students walking to town, sitting under trees studying, and engaging in conversation. The camera pans across the town square, focusing on different groups of students and buildings.] [David Attenborough’s voice narrates the scene.] David Attenborough: Welcome to the vibrant and dynamic ecosystem of the Hudson, Ohio. Here, amidst the historic architecture and sprawling green spaces, a diverse community of young scholars thrive in their natural habitat. [Cut to a group of students sitting in Ming’s Bubble Tea, discussing animatedly with open textbooks and laptops.] Much like the intricate social structures of the animal kingdom, WRA students form complex networks of friendships and academic alliances. These interactions are essential for their success in these formative years. [Cut to Open Door Coffee, a cozy sanctuary where students sit in armchairs and at tables, deeply engrossed in study.] The coffee shop, a sanctum of solitude and reflection, offers a retreat from the hustle and bustle of campus life. Here, students can delve into the depths of academic inquiry, seeking the wisdom of those who came before them, while caffeinating to their heart’s content.

(Thank you, David.) You get the idea! The proximity to a small town, with all of its amenities, as well as to Cleveland, with its museums, national sports and world-class concerts on offer, is a perk worth mentioning as often as we can!
